Recent Site Updates and Enhancements |

There have been a few updates here at thinklike.net in the past few days. Here is a quick rundown:
- Video embedding has been slightly changed. More sites are supported now (a full list will be put together and posted soon). Here is how you embed a few different types of videos into your articles (*all without the spaces*):
- -For YouTube: { youtube }video_id{ /youtube }
- -For Google Video: { google }video_id{ /google }
- -For local Google Video (like Google Video France): { google.TLD }video_id{ /google } ... replace "TLD" with "co.uk", "com.au", "de", "es", "fr", "it", "nl" or "pl", depending on the local Google Video service.
- -For Yahoo Video: { yahoo }video_id{ /yahoo }
- -For GameTrailers: { gametrailers }video_id{ /gametrailers }
- There are about 30 total sites that use the same basic pattern, if your video is hosted on a different site, give it a shot.
- Image galleries are now ready to be used, but most users will have to send a message to an administrator in order to get their images uploaded. Once they are uploaded, a gallery can be created by using the following tag (again, without spaces): { gallery }gallery_folder_name{ /gallery }
- A chat channel has been added for registered users, get to it through the user menu in the top left once you've logged in.
- A private messaging system has been added for registered users, it will show up beneath your login on the right once you have logged in.
- Tabs and Slides have been made available for use in articles, tabs are used by naming each new tab with a tag, then once all tabs are named, closing with a /tabs tag (no spaces by curly braces): { tab=Tab Name } blah blah blah { tab=Tab2 Name } blah 2 blah 2 blah { /tabs }
- Slides are created like tabs, but each slide has to be closed off individually. for example:
this slide is created like this: { slide=Slide1 } text { /slide } this slide is created the same way as Slide1: { slide=Slide2 } text { /slide } |

The first order of business now that we are accepting submissions from all users, is to provide a tutorial for the content editor ( tinyMCE ), as there are a few tips that can make content creation simpler. This is in the works, but there are some other pressing issues that I'm trying to get sorted out with content submission first. Thanks for your patience!
